Challenge Requirements

Picture
To complete this film challenge, you must include each of the following elements in your movie:
  • Length: 2 minutes or less
  • Character Name: Velma Amlev
  • Line of Dialogue: "What are you waiting for?"
  • Screen/Plot Element: Time Manipulation

Why is time manipulation an important  concept in film?

Film makers enjoy creating movies in which they manipulate time.  Sometimes, those movies take a direct approach, such as in the 1980's classic "Back to the Future" series in which a teenager time travels using a car.  Other times, film makers take an indirect approach when they manipulate time, such as beginning a movie by showing every scene in reverse order.  Yet another approach is to film the movie, then rewind the film in the editing process to show the sequence of events entirely in reverse.  A good example of this type of film making is the music video called "What If" by Coldplay.  In this film challenge, it is up to you to choose what kind of time manipulation you will use.
